How to move data from Android to iPhone or iPad?

Before You Begin:
Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on your Android device, and plug both your new iOS device and Android device into a power source. 
For faster transfer, you can also use a USB-C cable to directly connect the Android and iOS devices. 

Verify that the content you're transferring, including any files on your external Micro SD card, will fit on your new iOS device. 
If you'd like to transfer your Chrome bookmarks, make sure Chrome is updated to the latest version on your Android device.

1. Set Up Your Apple Device
Turn on your new Apple device and place it next to your Android device. 
Follow the on-screen setup instructions on your Apple device. 
On the Quick Start screen, tap "Set Up Without Another [Apple] Device," and continue with the on-screen instructions. You may be prompted to activate your eSIM,

2. Tap Move Data from Android
Look for the "Transfer Your Apps & Data" screen and tap "From Android." 
If setup is already complete, you’ll need to erase your iOS device and start over. Alternatively, you can manually transfer your content without erasing.

3. Set Up the Move to iOS App
Open the Move to iOS app on your Android device. If you don’t have the app, tap the QR code button on your new iOS device, scan the QR code with your Android device’s camera, and go to the Google Play Store to download it. 
To begin using the app:
- Tap "Continue."
- Read and accept the terms and conditions.
- Choose whether to automatically send or not send app data to Apple.
- Tap "Continue" and enable location and notification permissions, if required.
- If you're connecting via cable, you may need to adjust USB settings on your Android device before proceeding.

4. Wait for a Code
On your iOS device, tap "Continue" when you see the "Move from Android" screen. Wait for a ten- or six-digit code to appear. Ignore any alert about weak internet connection on your Android device.

5. Enter the Code
Type the code shown on your iOS device into your Android device.

6. Connect to a Temporary Wi-Fi Network
Your iOS device will create a temporary Wi-Fi network. Tap "Connect" on your Android device to join this network. Wait for the "Transfer Data" screen to appear.

7. Select Content and Wait
On your Android device, choose the content you want to transfer—such as Contacts, SMS, Call History, photos, audio files—and tap "Continue." 
Even if your Android device indicates the process is complete, leave both devices undisturbed until the loading bar on your iOS device finishes. Keep both devices connected to power and close together. The transfer may take a while, depending on the amount of data being moved. 
Transferred items include: contacts, message history, SMS messages, camera photos/videos, albums, files, accessibility settings, display settings, web bookmarks, email accounts, WhatsApp messages/media, Voice Memos, call history, and calendars. If available on both Google Play and the App Store, some of your free apps will also be transferred. Once the transfer completes, you can download any matching free apps from the App Store.

8. Transfer Your Phone Number and SIM or eSIM
During the transfer, you can activate your phone number and SIM or eSIM on your iPhone or iPad. You may be directed to your network provider’s website to finalize activation.

9. Set Up Your iOS Device
Once the loading bar on your iOS device finishes, tap "Done" on your Android device. Then tap "Continue" on your iOS device and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Finish
Check that all your content has been transferred. Music, books, and PDFs need to be moved manually.
